Meeting Benjamin Ferencz...

4 Omni MS students who are taking my Holocaust Studies class had the honor to meet Benjamin Ferencz who is the last living prosecutor of the Nuremberg trials.

March 28, 2019

On March 28, 2019, the students taking Holocaust Studies at Omni Middle School were invited to join the survivors and the soldiers who liberated the camps, in front of over 900 guests. The students were inspired and understood the importance of continuing to speak against prejudice, discrimination, violence, and religious intolerance. 


After reading their reflections, it is my hope that this cultural legacy will be carried over the years and that the preservation of memory will inspire future generations.

October 10, 2018

43 students from Omni Middle school watched the play Taken Away at Kravis Center.


By watching Taken Away, the students better understood how to speak against and deal with injustice, prejudice, discrimination, and religious intolerance. The play taught them to empathize with the other and to respect all human beings. Last but not least, it was a reflection regarding our moral values and how important it is to establish an intercultural dialogue in a multicultural world.
